Master's Course in Political Science and International Relations: EU@Work
The Living Practice: EU@Work course offers students a unique opportunity to experience European politics firsthand. As a compulsory part of the course, students take part in a two-week excursion to Berlin, Cologne, and Brussels each year, where they visit diplomatic missions and political institutions, and explore each city through both a cultural and political lens. From the Federal Chancellery and Federal Ministries of Germany to the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU, the Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to the EU, and the EU institutions themselves, the program provides unparalleled access to the institutions shaping Europe today.
The final stop, Brussels, is where the experience truly comes together. What better place to understand the EU than at its very heart? The Master's students step into European politics by visiting key institutions, sharpening their negotiating techniques through a simulation exercise, and networking with fellow students from across borders. From lively discussions with EU officials to unforgettable moments during the simulation, the excursion is a true highlight of the course.
For prospective applicants, "The Living Practice: EU@Work" is more than a seminar at a university; it is a chance to see theory become practice, to build lasting international connections, and to gain a profound insight into the EU.
